Harmony in the Workplace VCS Event Wednesday 29th May 2024

Join us for an enriching gathering for the Voluntary and Community Sector on Wednesday, 29th May, at Harmony Hall, 10 Truro Rd, Walthamstow, London, E17 7BY, from 10:45 am to 2:45 pm.  

This engaging event aims to amplify workplace well-being, offering valuable insights, interactive workshops, and refreshing well-being experiences for Volunteers, Staff, and Trustees from Waltham Forests Voluntary & Community Sector (VCS).   

 

You will have the opportunity to find out more about support and offers throughout the borough for yourselves and your teams.  

 

The various workshops and taster sessions offered will explore some of the issues faced when engaged in challenging community work and projects. 


 

These will include:  

  • Real Talk – Conversations about self advocacy and being kind to yourself- Maya’s Legacy 

  • Secondary Treatment Charges in the NHS and The Impact on Undocumented Migrants- St Barnabas Church 

  • Burnout- NHS NEL Mental Health and Wellness Central Team 

  • Life Coaching- The Gleaners Cafe x Lifecoach Neil Lawrence 

  • Why prevention is better than the cure- Dodgy Tickers  

  • Stress Management- Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest  

  • Going Choral- Waltham Forest Disability Resource Centre  

  • Messages of Hope – Crest  

  • Tai-Chi Flow - Dao Lu CIC 

  • Experiences of maintaining health and wellbeing whilst working and/or volunteering in the community- Leyton Orient Trust  

  • Adapted exercise- Leyton Orient Trust   

There will also be opportunities to help shape VCS involvement in Health and Social Care across the borough and to contribute towards community projects in Waltham Forest.
